The A/V Ministry Team welcomes new members who are comfortable with (or want to learn about) audio or video recording and projection equipment, computers, and media content tools.
Volunteers in this group have a passion for hospitality. Service needs for the team could include preparing food for small/large groups, serving catered food at a gathering, decorating for an event, and more.
This committee is responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the church property. It also approves expenditures needed for property improvement.
Do you like to garden? You can be a part of our small team of gardeners to share in maintaining and beautifying our Celebration Garden.
The Kids Ministry Team provides oversight for the programming for children and their families. If you enjoy working with children and helping families to connect through faith and fellowship, then come join us! The team meets once a month during the week.
The Micah 6:8 group continues its commitment to living out Christ’s
commandment to “love one another” by actively supporting ministries that work for reconciliation and amplify that all people are equally loved and accepted by God. The group meets the second Wednesday of the month.
Our worship experience is enhanced by our music ministry, which spans a wide breadth of styles, embracing traditional, contemporary, and anything in between. Opportunities to serve in Music Ministry include participation in the Westminster Choir, instrumental groups, youth praise band, and other special music capacities. Whether it’s hymn, psalm, or spiritual song, we believe in the commandment to make music in and from hearts to the Lord!
First Pres provides housing for families in transition in our home on Madison Street. There are additional opportunities to provide assistance with mentoring and self-development goals, transportation, and maintenance assistance for needy families.
Being an usher is a great way to meet and greet your fellow Christians. Consider helping at one service on one Sunday per month, by coming 15 minutes early and staying 15 minutes after the service to clean up. This
volunteer opportunity comes with on-the-job training by your crew’s head usher and usher captain, so there are no meetings to attend! Women, youth, men, and families are welcome.
The Visual Arts Committee works to create new ways to visually praise God. Artwork, flowers, decorations, and banners help make the message more visual to experience God’s presence in our lives, both in worship and throughout the church campus. Members brainstorm ways to make a visually pleasing atmosphere through strategically placing decorations fitting to the major spiritual events. We’re always looking for creative people to join us!

The Bridge, Mission:USA
West side of Chicago
Mission:USA is a Chicago-based nonprofit, nondenominational Christian missionary organization that helps troubled, disadvantaged, and at-risk people make positive changes in their lives, fueled by a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Christmas Sharing
Each December, a consortium of area churches collaborate to share the Christmas spirit by giving to local families in need. We collect food and household items, new coats, new toys, and funds to purchase gift cards to distribute to families from Wheaton and Warrenville District 200 schools. Volunteers organize the donations and assist during the distribution. Our mission is to provide a Christian connection to these needy families, while we help clothe and feed them.
DuPage PADS PADS
Public Action to Deliver Shelter
There are opportunities to serve with our mission partner, PADS, by providing nutritious meals for families and individuals experiencing homelessness. We provide warm meals on the third Wednesday of each month. PADS housing is located on Butterfield Road in Downers Grove at a repurposed hotel, which has added to the success of the client’s health and stability. If you would like to serve a meal, help is aways appreciated. If you would like to make a financial contribution, you can send a check to the church office with PADS in the memo, or donate online.
