Guiding kids to follow Jesus

 

Kids Ministry at First Pres Wheaton partners with families to walk with children on their faith journey through 5th grade. We welcome them into a safe, loving environment where their faith is nurtured through songs, stories, play, active learning experiences and games. Our goal is to set God at work in their lives as we invite all generations into a growing life with Jesus Christ.

SUNDAY SCHOOL/KIDS CHURCH

KIDS CHURCH at 9:00 a.m.

Children 4 years old-5th grade will attend the service with their families and then go downstairs to Kids Church before the sermon begins. Children will return to the service during the final hymn. Children 3 years old and younger are invited to attend childcare in LL103.
 

SUNDAY SCHOOL at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday School is for ages 3 years old (by Sept. 1) through 5th grade. Children will sing songs, learn  lessons from the Bible and play fun review games as a large group before breaking up into age- appropriate small groups to continue experiencing the Bible story through games, discussion and crafts. By offering many different learning styles and perspectives we hope to engage and inspire our students to dig deeper into these Bible stories and their faith! Children 3 years old and younger are invited to attend childcare in LL103.

 

 

Childcare

Childcare is available during church services in LL103 for children 3 years old and younger. Our fully-staffed preschool room provides a caring and fun environment where little ones can enjoy age-appropriate free play while you worship.

New Midweek Program

Wednesdays at 3:45 - 5:30 p.m.
September 30 – November 18
For Grades K-5

 

Rooted Kids:  *Registration required*  Kids will begin each afternoon with a snack and hangout time before rotating through four engaging, hands-on activity stations. We can’t wait to make Wednesday afternoons the highlight of your child’s week and a place to make friends, discover God’s love, and grow in faith together. Volunteer opportunities are available. VBS 2027 

Join us for Vacation Bible School (VBS), a fun-filled week of faith, friendship, and adventure! Typically held during the second week of June, VBS is open to children ages 4 through those entering 5th grade. With the help of our amazing volunteers, kids rotate through exciting games, creative crafts, Bible stories, devotions, and hands-on science activities—all while growing in their faith, making new friends, and having tons of fun!
